Hiking, trail running, MTB & cycling, yoga, reading by the wood stove, barbecuing on the porch. In this spacious house you can completely relax in the natural surroundings of Lochem.

In the evening you can enjoy an enchanting starry sky and the call of the tawny owl. From the open box bed (180 cm wide and 220 cm long) you can look straight into the forest. You can see the cozy wood stove burning from both the box bed and the sitting area.

The space

De Specht stands on a 1600m2 private forest, accessible via a private driveway with parking space.

De Specht has a large glass wall over the entire width that ensures a maximum connection with the forest. In the room there is a fully equipped kitchen, living area, box bed and a separate bathroom. Well equipped kitchen and wood burning stove in the living room.

The box bed has blackout curtains and mosquito nets at the upper windows. You can close the box bed with the roller blind if necessary. If desired, the box bed to the room can be closed off with a roller blind/blind.

The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink.

De Specht has a large veranda with cozy seating and BBQ.

History of de Specht

De Specht has been around since 1955 and was built on the nature reserve 'De Wakel' in Barchem. In 2020, owners Paulien and Joep took care of the whole thing. They have restored everything with love and created a natural atmosphere that blends into the environment.

There is wifi, but no television, it's much too romantic for that. De Specht is a wonderful place to retreat from the daily hectic pace and take time for yourself. Perfect for a couple (possibly plus baby).
